Iain Abernethy Training Seminar

To avoid the usual confusion, a seminar in martial arts terms is training with a guest instructor covering a specific subject, you will be on the mats practiciing and training - not sat listening to somone lecture!!

This seminar is open to Karate and Taekwon-Do students 10 years and older.

Mr Abernethy teaches the applications for our movements with insight that is seldom seen, a true expert in the history as well as the practicality of each technique. His insight will cover Taekwon-Do and Karate techniques and he has been a personal inspiration to both Mr and Mrs East over the years,

He is also a really friendly and open person so there is no need to worry, the seminar will be interesting, fun and exciting.

The seminar is 4 hours long (there will be breaks) and the fee for the event is £40. You must register and pay in advance, ideally no later than 14th April but if you need to pay later than this please speak to us.

This is an event that anyone serious about martial arts training should not miss.

Iain Abernethy has been involved in the martial arts since childhood. Iain holds the rank of 7th Dan with the British Combat Association (one of the world's leading groups for close-quarter combat, self-protection and practical martial arts), the British Combat Karate Association, and the English Karate Federation.

Iain regularly writes for the UK’s leading martial arts magazines and he is a member of the "Combat Hall of Fame".

One of the leading exponents of applied karate, Iain has written a number of critically acclaimed books on the practical application of traditional martial arts and is well known for his work on the pragmatic use of the techniques and concepts recorded in the traditional kata. Iain’s seminars, books, DVDs and articles have proved to be very popular with those groups and individuals who wish to practise their arts as the pragmatic systems they were originally intended to be.
